The East Anglian Storytelling Festival aims to increase the awareness and enjoyment of storytelling in East Anglia through a festival that celebrates and promotes storytelling as a thriving, modern, vibrant art, that is accessible and relevant to all. That may all sound rather highbrow, but we are all about inclusivity and having a good time - this is not about a rarefied niche form of art - it's about connection and fun.
2024 will be our ninth annual festival. The Food Museum in Stowmarket is our permanent home and our festival dates are 17-19 May 2024.
We pride ourselves on presenting programmes with a diverse mix of storytellers from different cultures, backgrounds and styles, and have a particular focus on young people and children. Our featured tellers come from all over the country and are known nationally and often internationally. There are storyrounds where anyone can tell their own story. We feature music and dance from local artists, and a spoken word stage as well as storytelling. We feature workshops in performance, writing and storytelling.
We do outreach in schools and libraries as part of our festival programme.
We offer festival goers the opportunity to camp in the Museum grounds and engage local services to facilitate that.
We are all volunteers giving our time for the love of stories however we work hard and we love what we do - we are proud of the progress we have made.
EATMT promotes the musical traditions (music, song, dance, stories and customs) of East Anglia by running projects and events and producing publications.
We are a registered charity in existence since 2000 and run an annual one day 'Traditional Music Day' festival in Stowmarket in addition to other events.

Essex Cultural Diversity Project energises cultural diversity in arts and heritage. Our mission is to create opportunities, stimulate participation and provide a focal point for the development, celebration and co-ordination of cultural diversity through arts and heritage activity.
We achieve this through an exciting programme of projects, festivals and events; commissioning artists to explore community, diversity and place; and supporting artists, arts organisations and communities working in diversity through training and networking events, signposting opportunities and providing important platforms for their work.
We work strategically with creative practitioners, culture and heritage sectors, diverse communities and the voluntary sector to help develop skills, build sustainable networks and infrastructures, alongside creating new opportunities to enhance diverse artists’ work.
Essex Cultural Diversity Project is an Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation
Estafest CIC is a 2 day summer free festival run entirely by volunteers who either own local businesses or are local residents.
All bands/artists donate their time and talent for free, we use local sourced vendors where possible to give entirely back to the community.
Our first festival was in 2024 where we raised enough funds for our town (March in Cambridgeshire) to have its 43rd Defibrillator installed.
